History:
Old
Northwood was developed in the early 1920's during the height of Florida's
boom era. Prominent architects, such as John Volk and William King designed
homes that made Old Northwood one of the most exclusive communities this side of
Palm Beach.
During the past two decades, Old Northwood
has seen a surge of new homeowners and renters, enthusiastic about living in a
"real neighborhood." Residents have formed committees to beautify the
surroundings, re-route traffic, and otherwise elevate the quality of life here.
Our neighborhood is an eclectic mixture of
residents with varied professions, backgrounds, and lifestyles - all united in
one cause... working together to keep Old Northwood and the City of West Palm
Beach a wonderful place to live!
