Northwood has become well-known for the beauty and architectural
significance of the homes here. The Old Northwood Historic
District is primarily made up of one and two-story Mediterranean
Revival and Mission style homes, built between 1923 and 1926.
There are also examples of Neo-Classical
Revival, American Foursquare, and Dutch Colonial Revival houses,
in addition to the many frame vernacular homes in the district.
